Peppa Pig

In early 2021 Karrot were approached by Astley Baker Davies & eOne (Hasbro) to begin production on a new series of Peppa Pig! What an honour!

104 x 5 min episodes were commissioned and Karrot were tasked with helming the entire production pipeline, from scripting to final delivery.

Building an amazing team of writers and artists, some with many years of Peppa experience and some fresh to the world, Karrot were able to lovingly craft many wonderful new stories and help expand the world of Peppa over the next 4 years.

Introducing new characters and concepts, like multi-generational families, apartments and flats (not everyone lives on top of a hill!) a new baby sister for Peppa and the family discovering George’s hearing loss, Karrot introduced some new elements to resonate with and represent the modern audience, while still keeping that authentic, fast-paced, Peppa sitcom feel.

We also had the opportunity to tweak the storytelling so we heard a little more from Peppa herself throughout, giving some additional time to explore her emotions and feelings and keeping Peppa at the emotional root of these new stories.

Watch below for some of our favourite moments from our time on Peppa!

We got to work with the amazing Peppa voice cast over our 104 episodes and it was a real pleasure to work with actors that are so recognisable and have had such an impact on kids tv!

We also got to work with some very special stars! Jodie Ounsley (Gladiator Fury), Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom!

The new episodes were delivered in May 2025, but are still airing into 2027, so make sure to catch them on Channel 5’s Milkshake!

As an extra treat here’s Karrot Head Writer Tim O’ Sullivan & Series Creative Producer Jamie Badminton speaking at the Children’s Media Conference 2026 about inclusivity & Diversity in kids TV, where they go into detail about writing George’s storyline:
